// AH, ROBERT FRANK

Robert Frank, a swiss born photographer famous for capturing America in his book "The Americans" 1958. His photos have a gorgeous nostaligia attached to them. His ability to capture a moment in time of a particualr person or place, really gives  us a "sense" of 1940-50s America. His photos of the seemingly everyday, creates a narrative that we engage in.

We start to question:
where was Mr Frank when he took this photo? What was the young lady thinking about? What abour the segregation? What were their thoughts as they sat on the bus? Where are they going?

what a city/what a place/what a time.

"When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice."
-Robert Frank
